Wanted to make a quick little post about my love for bento! I started making them a little more often and thought I’d share a photo of a pretty tasty one I made this week. Nothing like aesthetically pleasing tasty food!

For spring break I flew to San Diego to see my friends Joey (from CA) and Miranda (from GA) who I have not seen in three years! I saw the Grand Canyon, Vegas, Hoover Dam, Disney Land, the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, and Seaworld, Six Flags, a graveyard full of celebrities, and the Hollywood sign all in 7 days! It was a fun exciting trip away from MN!
I thought I’d share some images from the trip here, enjoy!

well, we’re mostly settled in our new place and I thought I’d share some photos of what we have set up/ mostly cleaned so far.
This post is neither about school, or personal web projects but instead about me moving!

We rented a 16′ truck for the day, started at Spencer’s apartment which had less stuff & my TV which I wanted safely packed into the truck closest to the front. I drove the truck the entire day, and can now say I’m pretty sure trucking is not the missing part of my life. I will say however, if I may be so bold… I rock at backing that thing into small places.
After we moved everything, we took the truck to IKEA, which btw has a clearance of 8′. Who the hell decided to build that parking ramp so small? I mean, people go there to buy furniture. Big furniture. My truck had a clearance of 10′ 8″. So we had to park a little farther away and had a tight fit in a parking spot. We bought a new bookshelf, new computer chairs, and big frosted piece of glass to be used as a tabletop for my new computer desk. I’ll have pictures when we’re a little more unpacked, but basically I took my Z-stand for my Yamaha and put a piece of glass on top.
We’re still unpacking but the place definitely feels like home, and looks awesome with our new stuff mixed in with what we already had. We are adopting Jon’s table and chairs (even though right now we have two sets in the condo).
This video is a commentary on gender roles, and how a woman was supposed to act in the 50′s-Present. Every clip is under a creative commons from archive.org. The audio clips with dialogue were also from archive.org and the music and synths were all produced and arranged/composed in ProTools by me.
This project was my final for Audio Production Fall 2009.
The video/audio is meant to be a little unsettling, because when creating this some of the clips I had found were offensive, and unsettling. I know that these roles are from decades ago, but it feels like this stereotypical expectation of a woman is often still prevalent in today’s society in some cultures more than others.
